The Honolulu Light Rail Electrification Phase 1 involved installing the essential power systems that energize Oʻahu’s first light rail line. Team oversaw the design and construction of overhead contact systems, substations, and electrical distribution to support the city’s fully automated rail transit. The project included integration with future rail segments, ensuring scalability and reliability of the power network.
This effort was a critical step in transforming Honolulu’s public transportation infrastructure, reducing reliance on cars, and supporting long-term sustainability goals for the island.
